ABOUT

When I think of a home, I think of a nest. It is a warm comfortable place to rest our heads at night, collect invaluable memories, maybe even raise a family.  It is a little piece of something that belongs to us.  We often use the phrase "nesting" when referring to the addition of a little one, and we call ourselves "empty nesters" when our children leave.  Nests can also represent change which is inevitable in all of our lives.  Whatever your life changes are, whether it is emptying or just taking shape, I am here to help support you through the process and make it as seamless and stress-free as possible.

My background

Over the years I have come to fully appreciate the meaning of home. Growing up in small town Wisconsin, my family owned a hardware store that designed and remodeled kitchens and bathrooms. Some of my earliest memories are of hanging out in the store helping customers pick out new cabinets and fixtures. With a childhood inspired by homes and design, I left small town Wisconsin in pursuit of a degree and career in NYC, and later made way for Chicago. After receiving a B.S. in Merchandising Management from the Fashion Institute (FIT), I worked in the luxury market staging retail store fronts & interiors, and later became a buyer of home products, and project manager for luxury packaging. Through these invaluable experiences I refined my eye for esthetic details, analyzed market trends, built successful client relationships, kept timelines, and negotiated prices. But after ten years of travels and big city life I realized how much I missed my home in Wisconsin.

Shortly after buying a home in Westmorland (a near west side neighborhood in Madison), I decided to blend my passions and talents to become a Realtor. I joined Restaino and Associates in their Madison West office, which has been an awesome adventure.

Hobbies and philanthropy

When I am not at work I enjoy sailing on Mendota, playing fetch with my black lab, Arya, and spending time with my best friend and husband, Matt.  I also have a never ending list of DIY projects going on around my house, and cannot pass up a good antique store.

I proudly support Gilda's Club and Susan G. Komen, having personally been affected by breast cancer.
